The Cabo de Gata coastline is the result of intense submarine volcanic activity that took place 8 to 11 million years ago during the Miocene. The rock arches, volcanic chimneys, pillow lavas and basalt columns emerging from the sea are geological formations unique in the European Mediterranean, and from the kayak they can be appreciated in all their splendour.
Sea caves and underwater passages
Throughout the day we access several large sea caves, some with vaults reaching 10 metres in height. The guides know the best times of day to enter based on sunlight, creating visually stunning effects. Lunch on a land-inaccessible virgin beach
The day includes a lunch stop on a beach inaccessible by road or trail, where the group enjoys a paradisiacal setting in complete solitude. An hour of rest at this corner of the park, with the option of free snorkelling in crystal-clear waters, is one of the most valued moments by participants.
